Kate the Great "Sullivan", Sully, was born in Keflavik, Iceland in 1974. Her family moved to Southern California in 1978.
It was there Kate realized her dream of being a singer/performer. Her best friend was in a band with her 7 brothers and sisters.
Kate was broken hearted when told she could not join the band because she wasn't family.
Kate performed in her school talent show with songs like "Gloria" by Laura Brannigan and was disappointed when she wasn't "discovered".
She and her family relocated to the suburbs of Washington, DC when she was 10. In high school Kate was in the performing group,
"Personalities", a traveling show choir. She also was a cheerleader and rugby player. Though a social butterfly, Kate lacked
confidence and was too shy to seek out lead roles in school productions.
Kate went on to college to study Health and Wellness, Fashion Design and Merchandising. During these years and afterward Kate
worked as a Bartender, Make-up artist, Retail Manager, Fashion Merchandiser, Physical Therapy Assistant and Personal Fitness Trainer.
Her co-workers, customers and clients loved Kates voice as she sang through her days, many commenting on how she belonged on a stage.
In Ocean City, Maryland and Siesta Key, FL she is a huge hit at the Kareoke bars competing for paid bar tabs and winning!
Her fans, of course, loved this! Kate has spent plenty of time on the stage, usually presenting at Fitness Conferences, Health Fairs
and Diabetes Support Groups. Kate is a certified Yoga Instructor and has been an insulin dependant diabetic since she was 15 years old.
Even with the vast experience she has in many fields, Kate knew something was missing in her life. Little did she know....it was
Meanstreak! Looking for a musical outlet, Kate went to the local music store to sign up for guitar lessons where she found the flyer
looking for a lead vocalist in a rock band. "When I met everyone in the band, the chemistry between the band members was undeniable.
We are each unique in our own nature, but musically we just mesh. I've found an awesome energy release!"
