Anyone living within an earshot of Dee's house has been touched in one way or another by
her overpowering riffs. Born in Pittsburgh PA and raised in Central Ohio, she started playing guitar at an impressionable age of 8. Four
years later she had saved enough money for her first Gibson and the rest is history. Her all girl band "Bittersweet" rocked the
stage in the High School's battle of the bands by playing Blue Oyster Cult, Pat Benetar and Lynyrd Skynyrd hits.
The group disbanded, but she and singer Becky Riddlehoover later regrouped with Zodiac. After graduating art school, Dee went on to work for several big publishing firms as an art director and the guitar
took second seat. In the late 90's the internet had possessed the art world and she succumbed to one of the millions chained to a computer. Having had enough, she opted out for the freedom of her guitar and her Harley Davidson.
In 2003 she played with "Shades of Blue", but the band's lack of practice sessions left her looking for other outlets. In March of 2004
she joined Meanstreak, contributing to their already intense sound.
Although Meanstreak's mainstay is mostly classic rock, Dee favors hard rock, metal and alternative influences such as Ozzy, Smashing Pumpkins, 3 Doors Down, Switchfoot, Soul Asylum, Collective Soul, Van Halen and Hendrix. With the
estrogen factor now added into Meanstreak; Meredith Brooks, 4 Non Blondes, Tracy Chapman, Fleetwood Mac, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, etc. cover hits are played by request.
Dee's main stage guitars are a 1957 reissue Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul Standard played through a Marshall TSL Head & 1960's 4x12 cabinet with a vintage MXR distortion+ stomp box & volume pedal.
